Follow Up: Keeping the Pigeons at Bay

Take that, Flying Rats!
A few weeks ago I posted how I was trying a new method to deter pigeons (Keeping the Pigeons at Bay) where I put a few drops of peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle with distilled water
Now, let me remind you that my husband and I sleep with a noisemaker on every night so that we don’t hear the gross cooing of the pigeons.
I swear to you those pigeons are gone! Gone! I can’t believe it! The only time I’ve resprayed is after a rainfall. But other than that the pigeons may land on my fire escape but they will quickly go away.

Essential oils continue to amaze me. I wonder if this would work with other creatures that you don’t want around – like mice or spiders. Any ideas on those?
